Overview

The SIS Antiterrorist Centre is the body responsible for the technical coordination of measures to prevent and combat terrorism carried out by the competent public authorities.

Through the Centre, the Service interacts with other state bodies in order to optimize measures aimed at preventing terrorism on the territory of the country. Its core tasks include assessing terrorist threats to national security, collecting and analysing information on the current state and trends of the phenomenon, and ensuring relevant information exchange both nationally and with the Service’s foreign partners.

National and International Cooperation

The SIS Antiterrorist Centre of the Republic of Moldova actively cooperates at national level with the competent public authorities in implementing practical counter-terrorism policy measures.

At the same time, the prevention and combating of terrorism cannot be achieved without international cooperation. In this context, the SIS Antiterrorist Centre of the Republic of Moldova conducts relevant exchanges of information and best practices with foreign partners, cooperating with specialized structures in Bulgaria, Germany, the United States, France, Romania, the CIS and other states or regional and international organizations.
