The National Institute of Intelligence and Security „Bogdan, Întemeietorul Moldovei” of the SIS jointly with Moldova State University launches, for the first time, the master's degree programme “National Security Studies”. It is open to bachelor's degree graduates and young professionals from law enforcement bodies, who want to improve their knowledge or to build a career in the security field.
The purpose of the master's degree course is to train qualified staff, able to properly identify and assess the impact of risks, threats and vulnerabilities to state security, as well as to contribute to the efficiency of the national security system. At the same time, one of the main objectives of the programme is to create a research core that will stimulate scientific activity and will develop the mechanism for promoting the security culture in society.
The master's programme “National Security Studies” is a professional one, with 120 credits. Its curriculum contains such subjects as: Management of the National Security System; National Security of the Republic of Moldova; Geopolitical and Geostrategic Dimension of Security; Intelligence and Security Authorities in Contemporary Society; National Security Assessment, etc.
At the end of the course of study, graduates will have a wide range of employment options, either in public or private institutions with responsibilities in the field of security. Beneficiaries will have the opportunity to work as a security expert, political scientist, political and security analyst, research trainee in political and security sciences, consultant, civil servant, military, member of political and social entities, researcher, advisor, coordinator of programmes etc.
