Today, August 27, Alexandr Esaulenco, Director of the Security and Intelligence Service, attended, along with other officials, the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the Republic of Moldova.
The SIS Director laid flowers at the monument "Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt", and then joined the country's leadership and the guests of the holiday in the Great National Assembly Square to honor the military, participants in the parade.
In the context of the Independence Day celebration, Alexandr Esaulenco expressed deep gratitude to the heroes of the country who fought for the integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova. On this occasion, the SIS Director congratulated the staff and the SIS veterans, who directly contributed to creation and defence of the statehood of the Republic of Moldova.
"It is the most important holiday for the national identity and unity, and it is the essence of our heritage of values and traditions passed down from generation to generation," said the head of the institution.
