The Security and Intelligence Service requests to block the website moldvesti0.wordpress.com, which was identified as an online source that spreads fake news about the COVID-19 evolution.
To shut it down, the institution forwarded the SIS Director’s Order on blocking online sources that spread fake news about the COVID-19 evolution and protection and prevention measures to National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology in order to take the necessary measures.
Note: According to the Decision No.3 of 23 March 2020 of the Commission for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Moldova, providers of publicly available electronic communications services, by the decision of National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology, based on the list of sources that SIS published, have an obligation to block immediately online sources that spread fake news about the COVID-19 evolution.
