Processing of personal data

According to the Law no. 133 of 08.07.2011 on the protection of personal data, the personal data are every information related to an identified or identifiable natural person (personal data subject). Identifiable person is the one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more elements specific to his /her physical, physiological, psychical, economic, cultural or social identity.

 

While exerting its duties and obligations, the SIS is entitled to obtain information from public authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations regardless of property type, required to fulfil the tasks assigned to the Service, in conformity with Art. 10 of the Law no. 753--XIV of 23.12.1999 on the Security and Intelligence Service of the Republic of Moldova.

 

In this context, the Security and Intelligence Service also processes personal data in accordance with the Law no. 133 of 08.07.2011 being registered, accordingly, in the Register of personal data operators.

 

Under the provisions of articles 12-18 of the Law on the protection of personal data, the subject of personal data has the right to information, the right of access to personal data, the right of intervention over personal data, the right to object the subject of personal data, the right not to be subjected to any individual decision, the right of access to justice.

 

In order to enjoy the rights provided by Law, personal data subject is eligible to submit a written request to the Security and Intelligence Service of the Republic of Moldova, Municipality of Chişinău, Ştefan cel Mare Boulevard, 166.
